Provider of specialist NHS financial and workforce services expects Ciphr to transform its HR provision

Liaison – providers of specialist VAT, financial management and workforce management services to more than 300 NHS clients – has chosen Ciphr to deliver and implement its new HR and recruitment system.

“We’ve never had a specialist HR system before, so this will be an important journey for us,” says Susan Dauber, project manager at Liaison.

When researching the HR software market, Liaison was keen to find and select a system that not only offered core people management functionality, but “also gave us the opportunity to add on functionality later,” says Dauber. “Lots of systems don’t allow you to do that – so Ciphr’s ability to integrate with other HR, L&D and business systems further down the line really appealed to us. We wanted to make sure that our users – our staff – would be able to easily find everything they need in a single place.”

Dauber says Ciphr’s sales team also impressed. “When David Baker came to present to some of our key stakeholders in London, it was quickly apparent that Ciphr was a professional outfit with a lot of HR knowledge. Introducing the HR system is going to be a major journey for us, so we needed that support and expertise from the start. Ciphr stood out from the competition by leaps and bounds.”

Because the organisation is set to grow significantly, it’s opted to implement Ciphr’s specialist recruitment system, Ciphr iRecruit, to help streamline its hiring processes. “We have just recruited our first talent acquisition partner,” says Dauber. “Hopefully once the HR and recruitment systems are up and running they will help her coordinate hiring, and also to think about succession planning.”

The wider HR team is also eagerly awaiting Ciphr’s arrival, she adds. “We are only a small HR team so any help that the system can give them to streamline and enhance processes will make a big difference. We hope Ciphr will enable us to work more effectively, and to contribute strategically as an HR team.”

Liaison’s project team is “really excited about Ciphr and can’t wait to get started,” adds Dauber. “We’re already planning how best to tell staff about this change, so we can bring them on this implementation journey with us, ready for launch in the new year.”

“We’re thrilled that Liaison has chosen Ciphr for its new HR and recruitment system,” says Rob Oehlers, head of customer success at Ciphr. “We’re confident our software will make a significant positive difference to its HR team, line managers and staff when it launches in early 2019.”
