Supporting neurodiverse employees: improving inclusion, wellbeing, and productivity

About this webinar

It’s estimated that around 15-20% of the UK population are neurodivergent. Although awareness of neurodiversity has grown rapidly in recent years, people with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, for example, can still struggle to feel included, happy, well, and productive at work.

Join Ciphr and Marshall E-Learning for an insightful webinar hosted by Lauren Duffy – an ambassador for the British Dyslexia Association – as she shares tips for creating an inclusive workplace environment that will help neurodiverse employees to thrive.

Agenda

  • Lauren’s story – her experiences in education and work as a person with dyslexia, dyspraxia, and dyscalculia
  • What we mean by ‘neurodiversity’ and ‘neurodiverse’
  • The moral and legal case for supporting neurodiverse employees
  • Six ways to support a neurodiverse employee – including: creating an inclusive organisational culture, helping managers to understand neurodiversity and the importance of ‘reasonable adjustments’, considerations during the recruitment process, day-to-day considerations, understanding the impact of life changes and transitions, such as promotions or becoming a parent, and having ongoing, open conversations about performance and managing the symptoms of neurodiversity
  • The implications of poorly managed symptoms – including risk of burnout, absence, and lost productivity
  • An overview of Marshalls’ range of diversity and inclusion (D&I) eLearning courses, including the neurodiversity at work course
  • Q&A

The webinar will be recorded, and the recording sent to everyone who registers.
