How Ciphr engaged its own people with online learning

Creating a learning culture from scratch is an unenviable challenge. In fact, a quarter of learners we polled in 2021 said that their most recent training course was just a box-ticking exercise.

HR and LMS software provider Ciphr was no exception to these challenges. Before 2023, we struggled to engage staff with learning – especially mandatory training – and lacked a central platform to share training activities. So we turned to our own LMS product to create our internal training platform. Through company-wide communication, engagement with line managers, and a sprinkling of healthy competition, we achieved 90% completion of mandatory training activities in just eight weeks, up from 14%.
