Alex: ZPG is a consumer champion of the heart for the home. So we created the business to help consumers find homes, manage their home, move home more efficiently. And whilst there were a lot of sort of alternatives in the market and we’re doing a part of that, our vision is to be the Amazon of the home and provide all those services in one place. And we’ve got an incredibly talented and passionate team who get up every day looking to help consumers and make their lives better. So I’d say passion is the trait that runs through our team. The business is entirely about helping people. If we save consumers over  

£300 million a year, we help over half a million people a year actually move home. And so I think we’re making a real difference. 

Claire: We just felt that CIPHR were more of a cultural fit for us and really we’re able to do what we wanted to be able to do. I think it’s more of a partnership that we have with CIPHR rather than just being a provider of some software. 

Great account management, the process of going through the implementation was really smooth, we had managed to implement CIPHR within three months, I think it was. So really quick turnaround and yeah, I think the support that we’ve had has been brilliant. We’ve also been able to do our onboarding process so being able to actually give people access to My Place, which we’ve called the system. It kind of keeps people engaged and allows them to really know what they’re walking into on their first day and empowers them. 

When we first launched My Place…that was really positive for us. On the first day, we had over 92 people log into the system, make changes to their personal details, make holiday requests. Even our CEO logged in, updated his address as well. So for us, that just really showed how we’ve managed to engage people and really get them on board for it as well. 

You know, being able just to click a button and it produces reports for you that are meaningful and you’re able to actually then just send over to whoever has requested them. Being able to automate general admin stuff such as new starter contracts, references, other types of letters has enabled me to become more strategic and allowed me to be able to produce more meaningful reports and data for our HR director, our board and also our CEO and he needs them as well. 

There’s been a number of reports that we’ve needed to have specifically created for us, one of them being a benefits report. So we have to produce monthly reporting for our CEO and along that is to demonstrate our benefits take up that we’ve got. The Service Desk were able to create for us a report that shows us on a month-by-month basis how many new people we’ve had take up our private healthcare or our dental policy, pension, which means that we’re able to provide that information to them. 

When the Brexit announcement was made, that day, our HR director said to me, “Claire, can you run me a report of all of our EU nationals?” And I was able to click a button and a report was produced for us. And within 24 hours, we had a meeting booked with our immigration specialists. We had managed to get all of our employees together in a room and advise them that we were gonna be able to provide them with support in order to gain their residency card. So for us, just being able to click a button rather than having to go through, at the time, I think it was about 600 manual files to try and find out who had what passport was really time-saving for us, which is great. 

From the moment that we’ve got the acceptance of an offer, we then send out to our new starters and along with their contract of employment, a link to My Place with a username and password. And it then means that they can log into this beforehand, before they join, they can have a look at all of our policies, which means that they can read and accept all of those before joining because you never really get the chance once you’re actually here in the business. It also gets you to really get a feel for the types of products and services that we offer. 

Time savings that I’ve been able to make just by having a system that automates everything means that I’m able to focus on more strategic stuff that our, you know, HR director needs or that our board needs to that our CEO needs access to. 

I think the face-to-face support that we get is great whether that be from our account manager, Laura or even from the consultant. And just being able to ring them and get something booked in pretty quickly is really helpful. I love the guys on the support desk, they’re great. You know, no task is too big for them, they’re always really helpful and, you know, I can certainly ring them up with any type of question whether it be big or small. You know, they know who I am which I think makes a big difference because it gives it that more personal feel. Definitely, one of the kind of great service desks so I think everybody needs to call to [inaudible 00:05:56] at some point. 

We also are looking to start doing more reporting within the system so we’ve been doing our gender pay reporting already and we’ve subsequently been able to produce some stats to our board to show them the difference that we’ve got. So that has been really valuable for us and we’ve been able to share that information earlier on than planned. Yes, I would recommend CIPHR. See, it definitely does offer return on investment.
