Executive Summary
There’s less than six months to go until the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) introduces the most significant changes to UK data law since 1998.
The GDPR – which applies from 25 May 2018, even after the UK exits the EU – will affect how employers collect, store and process data about their staff. Penalties for non-compliance will be stiff; up to €20 million or 4% of turnover, whichever is greater, for the most serious violations.
