MARCH 2026
Release notes
A roundup of March 2026 Ciphr software updates, including features and functionality
Ciphr’s March 2026 release (2026-3) removes friction from the everyday workflows that HR teams rely on most, from onboarding new starters to managing re-employment, training records, and absences. It also includes continued behind-the-scenes work to support future enhancements and Ciphr Payroll integration.
What’s new – March 2026
Ciphr HR
More reliable employee onboarding
Error-free allowance management: Cancelling an allowance or payment in Add new employee no longer triggers an error, so your onboarding workflows run smoothly from day one
Smoother re-employment processes
- Accurate record selection: The Re-employ login flow now correctly selects the current record when an employee has multiple records after re-employment
- Important reminder: If an employee was previously moved to a leaver user role, they will need to be moved back to a current user role as part of the re-employment process
Stronger data validation
- Policy documents now enforce character limits to prevent errors caused by long values, protecting your data integrity without extra manual checks
Improved template communications
- Training record letters: The communication button for editable training record letters now works as expected, so you can send the right communications at the right time
Better mobile usability
- CIPHRFLEXI work pattern: The absence copy-down button now functions correctly on mobile, making it easier for managers to handle absence management on the go
LMS service pack
- A new LMS service pack is included in the March release, delivering updates and improvements to Ciphr's learning management system
Behind the scenes
March also includes foundational improvements that support future product enhancements and continued readiness for the Ciphr Payroll integration, ensuring your HR and payroll systems are set up to work together seamlessly.
Ciphr Analytics
- Stronger performance under the hood: Enhancements to data handling, leaver and work pattern accuracy, and overall reporting performance
Ciphr LMS
-
- Smarter search: New filter bars across Learning Plans, Reports, and Portal Content make it faster to find what you need
- A smoother experience: Login and display improvements across the new UI for a more consistent look and feel
- Reliable reporting: The Staffing Levels Report now runs without timeouts
Ciphr Payroll
- More flexible pay schedules: You can now set a specific day of the week as the final day of the month, making it easier to align payroll processing with your organisation's pay cycle
Why it matters
Every fix and improvement in March is about one thing: giving HR teams confidence that Ciphr works the way they need it to. Whether you’re onboarding a new starter, re-employing a returning team member, or managing absences from your phone, these updates mean fewer workarounds, fewer frustrations, and more time to focus on your people.
