Ciphr has launched a new range of ‘micro’ employee training courses that are suitable for organisations across all industries.
The new microlearning suite from Ciphr eLearning, powered by Marshalls, includes 11 refreshed, bite-sized versions of some of the brand’s bestsellers. Among the topics covered are diversity in the workplace, inclusive recruitment, safeguarding, health and safety, and information security.
Small but powerful, the microlearning format is designed to be more engaging, more cost-effective, highly practical, and less time-consuming for busy employees. It’s also known to help learners retain information better, as the content is easier to digest and only focuses on the core essentials of the topic.
Created by Ciphr’s in-house learning experts, the courses typically take between 10-15 minutes to complete, making them ideal for onboarding or on-demand refresher training.
Each course features new scripted videos, inspired by authentic, everyday work scenarios and filmed with actors, and up-to-date case studies, making the content even more memorable and relatable.
The suite can be purchased as a set or as individual learning modules.
The new titles include:
- Diversity in the workplace
- Health and safety
- Safeguarding
- Mental health in the workplace
- Bribery act
- Anti-money laundering
- Whistleblowing
- Data protection
- Recruitment
- Manager's toolkit
- Information security smart
David Marshall, MD of Ciphr eLearning, says: “Good employee training isn’t just a nice-to-have – it’s essential to ensuring happy workforces and equitable workplaces. The recent surge in employment tribunals related to menopause, neurodiversity, and ageism, for example, tells me that it’s needed more than ever. And it’s not just an ethical imperative. Some of these tribunal award payouts are uncapped, so it can be very costly to employers who don’t comply with their legal duties and allow unlawful behaviours to continue in their workplaces.
“Regular employee training helps protect organisations from litigation and bad PR, but, more importantly, it protects individuals. It helps managers and employees recognise best practices, call out bad practices, and prevent issues arising in the first place.”
Meg Shona Halpin-Webster, lead instructional designer at Ciphr, adds: "Microlearning is a powerful format for people to develop their knowledge and skills while in the flow of work.
“By delivering focused, bite-sized content, our refreshed microlearning suite is helping to make learning accessible and immediately actionable. The courses cover a range of important topics that are relevant to almost any job or sector, while the combination of animations and filmed scenarios, with written content, really amplifies the learning experience.”
Ciphr eLearning, powered by Marshalls, has worked closely with many of the UK and Ireland’s biggest organisations and HE providers over the years, including the Bank of England, Bank of Ireland, the Scottish Parliament, Eversheds Sutherland, Taylor Wessing, Prudential, Santander, Barnardo's, Greater London Authority, Manchester City Council, the Church of England, NHS Confederation, NHS Direct, Newcastle University, University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, Royal Holloway and the Irish Universities Association. This new training suite further broadens Ciphr’s offering, enabling them to support even more workers with their essential everyday training and development.
Ciphr's eLearning boasts a comprehensive range of off-the-shelf eLearning content and microlearning courses for the private and public sectors. Their expert instructional designers can also craft fully bespoke eLearning solutions, including facilitated workshops.
