Upcoming: Staying BIK and ERA compliant in 2027: what HR and payroll needs to know

About this webinar

Two of the biggest compliance changes in years are coming in 2027 – and the organisations that will navigate them most smoothly are the ones that start preparing now.

The Employment Rights Act brings significant reforms: a reduced unfair dismissal qualifying period, enhanced protections for pregnant women and new mothers, and new gender equality reporting requirements, to name a few.

At the same time, phase 1 of mandatory Benefits in Kind payrolling lands in April 2027, with cars, car fuel, vans, van fuel and medical benefits required to be payrolled in real time – alongside real time Class 1A NIC payments and new RTI data requirements. Other benefits will become mandatory from April 2028 in phase 2.

In this session, we bring both changes together into a single, practical briefing – covering what's confirmed, what's still to come, and what HR and payroll teams need to be doing right now to be ready.

We'll cover:

  • The Employment Rights Act changes landing in 2027 and what they mean for HR and payroll teams in practice
  • Phase 1 of mandatory BIK payrolling and what preparation looks like now
  • The compliance risks of leaving it too late – and how connected HR and payroll systems reduce that risk
  • Key dates, actions and a practical checklist to take away

Whether you're deep into preparation or just getting started, this session will give you a joined-up view of what's coming and a clear picture of what to do next.
