Two decades of specialist eLearning, built on real expertise

Marshalls (now Ciphr eLearning) was founded in 2002 by David Marshall, former head of research at Penna plc. David set up the firm on a simple belief: digital learning needed a team who combined subject knowledge with technical skill, not one or the other.

Our content has now trained over two million people across the UK, Republic of Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Vietnam, China, Thailand, Spain and France.

After more than 20 years as an independent company, Marshalls joined Ciphr Group in 2023. Ciphr is a UK provider of HR, payroll and learning software, so the fit made sense: connected systems, and a shared focus on the people who use them.

For Ciphr eLearning's customers, that means a wider range of courses and a bigger production team, with no change to the diversity and inclusion expertise or customer service Marshalls built its name on.
