Ciphr is looking to add two more prestigious awards to its collection, with the announcement of a double nomination in The Rewards 2026 shortlist.

The Reading-based HR, payroll and benefits software provider is in the running for payroll & HR technology provider of the year, as well as the best company to work for award.

Only last month, Ciphr won two trophies at the Thames Valley Tech and Innovation Awards – Thames Valley Tech Company of the Year and High Growth Tech Company of the Year – cementing its position as one of the UK’s top HR tech companies.

Over the past few years, Ciphr has enhanced and expanded its fully integrated product suite for UK organisations, most notably with the introduction of cloud payroll, true real-time HR and payroll integration, and Ciphr benefits. It’s also transformed its internal processes, contributing directly to increased customer satisfaction and better service delivery. All while continuing to invest in its people – prioritising wellbeing and development, strengthening culture and empowering employees at every level.

Sion Lewis, CEO of Ciphr, says: “We are delighted to be recognised as one of the UK’s top HR and payroll tech providers, and one of the best companies to work for in the country. That’s an impressive double accolade, and we’re very honoured to be shortlisted by The Rewards.

“These awards recognise the whole Ciphr team – the people and expertise behind our products, the teams that manage our customer experience, service delivery, implementation, and more, the teams that help power our customers day-to-day operations. I’m really proud of what we’ve already achieved together, and what’s to come.”

Karen Lough, director of people at Ciphr, says: “I'm delighted to see Ciphr nominated for these two key awards. We spend our days building solutions that enable other organisations to look after their people, so being shortlisted for ‘best company to work for’ is just as important to us as receiving the nomination for best tech provider. It tells us we're holding ourselves to the same high standard we set for our customers.

“At Ciphr, employee engagement and sustainable high performance is built by doing the basics well: making sure that employees are treated fairly, are listened to, are doing meaningful work, that they have clear expectations and purpose, the right tools, are supported in their development, and working within a culture that values both results and how they are achieved.

“Award recognition like this belongs to our managers and teams across the business, who help shape how we work, who show up for each other, challenge us to keep improving, and make Ciphr somewhere people genuinely want to build a career.”

The Rewards celebrates exceptional achievements within the payroll and rewards sectors. The winners will be announced in September.
