Are you going to the CIPD HR Software Show this year? If so, then there’s a few things you can do and prepare for to make your day more fun, as well as more productive.
Research what’s on and when
Check out the event website to see which suppliers are attending; if there’s talks that you’d like to see, a general timetable will stand you in good stead for getting the most from the day(s).
Plan your journey
London’s a busy place and on days when there’s an event the surrounding stations are very crowded. Allow enough time plus some extra for your journey and make sure you’re comfortable with how to get to the location:
Take everything you’ll need
Lunch, pad, pen, spare water, event tickets, map and pre-booked travel tickets are some of the items you should be taking with you.
Know what you want & what to ask
What are your objectives, challenges, goals and budget? The answer to these questions should all be clear in your mind, as they’ll be invaluable when discussing requirements with suppliers.
Pre-book with preferred suppliers if possible
Most suppliers offer a way to pre-book through their website or social media. If you’ve got a shortlist of preferred suppliers, then it’s a good idea to pre-book with them to avoid disappointment.
There’s many varied businesses and like-minded individuals at the HRSS – above all, enjoy this environment and learning experience. It’s a great day for both attendees and suppliers alike! 🙂
