London-based provider of support for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs chooses CIPHR to upgrade its HR system
Certitude, a leading London provider of support for people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, has chosen CIPHR to deliver and implement a brand-new HR system that will transform how the HR function supports the organisation’s 1,000-plus staff.
Having reviewed its HR service, Certitude identified the need for an integrated HR system that would enhance its ability to manage staff and enable a data-driven, proactive HR service. CIPHR’s integrated systems – which cover the management of the entire employee lifecycle, from recruitment to learning and development, and pay and benefits – will help Certitude improve the quality of data used to inform its planning and decision making, says Cheryl Newsome, director of HR at Certitude.
She adds: “CIPHR’s system will also provide the organisation with timely management information and facilitate improved access to people data through self-service HR, while allowing the HR service to refocus its efforts on building business partnering relationships with operational colleagues and delivering an effective strategic service.”
Certitude was impressed by CIPHR’s ease of use and intuitive interface. “A significant proportion of our staff are support workers who work with people out in the community, so we needed a cloud-based solution with very good mobile-optimised access that they could use on the move,” says Cheryl. “We also wanted a system that we could brand fully and name, to encourage user acceptance and make it part of our culture. CIPHR’s solution meets all of these requirements.”
CIPHR as a company stood out from the crowd because of its innovative solutions, says Simon Borisewitz, its then head of HR. “CIPHR really is first to market with a lot of its developments; I was a big fan of the GDPR data deletion and monitoring function, for example. The gender pay gap reporting function is also very good, and the onboarding module seems excellent. The ATS, CIPHR iRecruit, impressed my internal recruiter over any other solution they saw.”
Newsome adds that CIPHR is “a refreshing organisation” to work with. “We got a really nice feel for the company, their approach and attitude towards customer care. Account development manager Katie Jefferies was supportive and very patient with us throughout the process. I also enjoyed meeting CIPHR’s account managers at the CIPD HR Software Show.
“Overall, I felt this is an organisation with an outlook and culture that we can really work with,” says Cheryl. “We don’t want this to be a short-term relationship, but an evolving and continuing partnership.”
Certitude expects CIPHR to “automate and digitise a lot of the current HR administration, enabling the function to refocus and use its resource as business partners with operational colleagues to add more strategic value,” says Simon.
“There is huge anticipation,” around CIPHR’s launch, he adds. “I presented the system and its capabilities to our senior managers recently and they are very, very excited about what the real-time data insight that will enable them to achieve. When it’s implemented, it’ll make a huge difference to the organisation.”
“We can’t wait to begin working with Certitude, and for CIPHR’s HR and recruitment systems to start shouldering some of that administrative burden for the HR team,” says Rob Oehlers, head of customer success at CIPHR. “I’m confident this is just the start of a long and fruitful relationship between Certitude and CIPHR.”
