Ciphr, a leading provider of HCM solutions in the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Russell to the new position of chief commercial officer (CCO), effective from 30 March 2020

Matt will report directly to CEO Chris Berry and the Ciphr Group board, and as CCO will have responsibility for all sales and marketing activity across the business. He brings a wealth of sales and industry experience to Ciphr, having previously held senior roles at LHH Penna and DDI, and more recently as chief sales officer at Benefex.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Berry, Ciphr’s CEO, said: “Matt’s appointment and his vast and relevant experience in the HR arena will strengthen our management team and the Ciphr Group board. Establishing this new position will release bandwidth elsewhere in the business to help Ciphr to continue to fulfil its ambitions, both through organic growth and growth by acquisition.”

Matt Russell, Ciphr’s CCO, said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Ciphr. This is a massively exciting opportunity to be part of something special; Ciphr is at the forefront of enabling organisations to bring all their people systems and platforms together, to help them better attract, develop, pay and retain their key talent through Ciphr’s own suite of solutions as well as the Ciphr Connect marketplace. I’m excited to be at the forefront of driving that proposition forward and talking to the market about what Ciphr has to offer.”

Berry added: “Ciphr’s ability to switch to fully remote working rapidly – as a result of our tried and trusted business continuity plans – means we are not only able to fully focus on supporting our customers as they adjust to the ‘new normal’, but that we are also able to stay on track with our own plans for business growth. We expect more and more organisations to quickly realise the value and importance of cloud-based HR solutions – something that we have more than 10 years’ experience in providing to customers across the UK. If organisations are looking to make the switch from legacy, on-premise HR systems to modern cloud-based solutions quickly, or to introduce their first HCM solution, we’re ready to help them do that.”
