In this Telecommuting Productivity study conducted by Chinese travel website Ctrip, those employees allowed to work from home answered 13.5% more calls than those staff who remained in the office.

As well as the increased productivity, those employees that worked from home reported that they were happier and felt more job satisfaction. When asked, 79% of employees would work from home if their employer permitted it, that’s 79% of employees that would be happier and more content in their role.
2) Your absence levels can be reduced
Telecommuting also offer employees the freedom they may require to take care of personal responsibilities. This can reduce absence which may otherwise be taken to deal with these responsibilities, can be avoided.
For some employees the stresses attached to not only office life, but also the commute to and from the office (especially if the office is based in a city) can be the cause of a certain amount of absence. By removing these stresses you can improve the wellbeing of those employees, and potentially reduce the number of absence episodes they may take.
3) Your employer brand improves
A telecommuting policy shows a brands openness to new trends and ways of working, it also shows a level of trust in your employees. These traits are welcomed by employees and, as a result, they’ll be happier, more productive and less likely to look for alternative employment.
